Every portrait is photographed and mounted in my Helensville studio, then printed by a trusted fine art lab using museum-grade paper and archival inks. Nothing is rushed or outsourced. It’s all about care, craftsmanship, and giving families something truly lasting.

Meet Aisling

I’m Aisling O’Brien, a family photographer based in Helensville.

I personally photograph every child at every school — no stand-ins, no rush.
Kids feel at ease, parents get portraits they love, and your team gets a stress-free, fully managed process.

I also personally edit, mount, and package each order in my studio using fine art materials.
Everything is handled with care, from the first photo to the final print.

I’m a mum too, so I know how to talk to kids.
Bringing a shy child out of their shell is my favourite thing in the world.
I love capturing all those little personalities — the cheeky grins, the quiet thinkers, and everything in between.

    I aim for natural light wherever possible — indoors near a window, or outdoors in soft shade. If these aren’t suitable I’ll bring in external lighting.

    Weather, space, and age group will all factor in, and I’ll plan the setup to suit your school.

    Even the quietest kids usually open up with a bit of time and attention.

    I bring portable lighting as backup, just in case.
