When I first opened my studio, I wanted to create something special for my own family—a set of photos that really felt like who we are. Photos we’d treasure, ones our kids would look back on for years to come.
These images are some of my favourites, and they reminded me how important it is to capture these connections—not just for now, but for the generations that follow.
That’s where the idea for these Grandparent Mini Sessions came from. They’re not just about photos; they’re about stories, connection, and those little in-between moments that mean so much.

We spent a long time bringing this space to life, and every detail has been designed with creating the best photos in mind.
The studio is relaxed and open, filled with beautiful natural light that makes every image shine. Outside, we’re surrounded by our family farm and pretty incredible views over the Kaipara River—it’s a backdrop that feels both peaceful and a little bit magical.
Just two minutes from Helensville, the studio feels tucked away in its own little world—a quiet spot where you can slow down, take a breath, and simply enjoy the moment.

Your session will feel more like hanging out than posing for photos. I’ll guide you with gentle prompts to make sure everyone feels comfortable and natural in front of the camera—but the real magic happens in the moments between.
My style of photography is all about capturing how you interact with each other. Sure, you’ll get those classic, everyone-smiling-at-the-camera portraits, but it’s the little glances, the laughter, and the way grandparents hold their grandkids close that truly bring your photos to life.
