This little guy certainly did not disappoint during his newborn portrait session. Time slipped by on us, as it often does with a little baby, and Leo’s newborn session turned into an “Elder Newborn” session. The upside to that was we caught some of the cutest giggles and laughs I think I’ve ever had in front of my camera. The absolute joy this little guy brings is priceless.

Preparation for this session was nice and easy. Charlotte invested in the most beautiful dress for her maternity shoot with me earlier this year. It was so special that she chose to wear it again, but this time with little Leo in her arms. It really brought an extra significance to their session.

The studio was nice and warm, all ready for Leo’s debut photo shoot. It’s not always possible to get older babies in those nice sleepy positions but I strongly believe the most important place to photograph any age baby is in their mothers arms, where they are the safest and the happiest.

I did get the chance to shoot some video while Charlotte got Leo off to sleep. I’m excited to edit that one as a little bonus for this lovely family.

Little Leo is absolutely thriving and such a little character already. I am excited to see what the future brings for this little guy.

Charlotte, you are doing such an amazing job navigating this crazy journey that we go on when we bring these little beings into the world. I am enormously proud of you my friend and the lovely relationship that is flourishing with you and your boy.
